FIRST FOOT GUARDS EVENTS, 2012
We invite you to come to our events, see what we do, and consider joining the Guards. All events are open to the public and are free except Battle Road Heroes and Old Sturbridge Village where there is a nominal admission fee. All events are subject to change due to weather or other cicumstances, so before attending an event, always check the event host's web site for the latest information. Sun, April 1, 2012, Lexington Green dress rehearsal for the Patriots Day reenactment, 2pm (units arrive 1pm). Rain date: Sunday, April 8, 2pm.
Sat, April 14, 2012, Battle Road reenactment, Hartwell Tavern and Captain William Smith house, MMNHP, Lincoln MA. 10am-2pm, main battle at 11am from Bloody Angle to Hartwell Tavern, Parker's Revenge reenactment at 1pm near Fiske Hill, Lexington.

Sat, April 21, 2012, Battle Road Heroes, Hartwell Tavern, MMNHP, Lincoln, MA, 7-8:30pm. Candle-lit tour to hear the personal stories of residents who lived along the Battle Road on April 19, 1775. $5 per person, $10 per family. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Minute Man National Park. The First Guards will portray the British army camp and will serve as guards for General Gage.
Sun, April 22, 2012, Revolutionary Graves Ceremony, Lincoln, MA, 2pm. March from Pierce House, 3 Weston Rd., along Old Lexington Rd. to the ceremony at the Town Cemetery and back.

Wed, July 4, 2012, Hingham July 4th Parade, Hingham, MA, 10am step off from Hingham High School on Pleasant Street and ending around 11am at Station Street. See web site below for parade route and parking.
Sat-Sun, July 7-8, 2012, Fort Sewall Encampment, Fort Sewall, Marblehead MA.
The Guards land by boat and skirmish with Colonial militia camped at the fort.

Sat-Sun, July 21-22, 2012, Fort Ticonderoga encampment, Ticonderoga NY. The 1777 Capture of Fort Ticonderoga. Large scale reenactment at reconstructed stone fortress on beautiful grounds overlooking Lake Champlain.
Sat-Sun, Aug 4-5, 2012, Old Sturbridge Village encampment, Sturbridge MA. Large scale reenactment, many units, including artillery, and large battles both days.
Sat, Oct 6, 2012, First Foot Guards Drill at Hartwell Tavern, MMNHP, Lincoln MA, 10am-5pm. Drills, marches, firing demonstrations.
