We invite you to come to our events, see what we do, and consider joining the Guards. All events are open to the public and are free except Spencer-Pierce-Little Farm, Old Sturbridge Village, Fort Ticonderoga, and Fort at Number 4 where there is a nominal admission fee. All events are subject to change due to weather or other cicumstances, so before attending an event, always check the event host's web site for the latest information. Many of these events repeat every year and there are photos and videos of many of them on our Photos and Videos pages.

Sat, April 8, 2017, Bedford Parade and Pole Capping, Bedford, MA, 10:30am. Colonial militia companies march from the Bedford Common, 75 Great Rd (Rtes. 4&225), along Great Rd to Wilson Park where a Minuteman will proclaim freedom by shinnying up a 25-foot pole and placing a red cap on it, but British soldiers will arrive to disrupt the festivities.

Sat, April 8, 2017, Dress rehearsal for the Patriots Day battle on Lexington Green reenactment, Battle Green, 1900 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington center, 2-3:30pm, units arrive 1pm. Hosted by the Lexington Minutemen. (Postponed from Sun, April 2 due to weather.)

Sat, April 15, 2017, Parker's Revenge, Minute Man National Historic Park, Battle Road Trail near Whittemore House and at Bloody Bluff, Minute Man Visitor Center, Rte. 2A, Lexington MA, 2pm. British and Colonial reenactors will portray the running battle that took place along this deadly stretch of road as the British column marched back to Boston. Park at the Minuteman Regional High School, 758 Marrett Rd (Rte. 2A), Lexington MA. Bloody Bluff is directly across Rte. 2A at the corner of Old Massachusetts Ave.

Sat, April 15, 2017, Tower Park Battle, Munroe Tavern and Tower Park, 1332 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington MA, 4-5pm. The British units arrive at Munroe Tavern at 3pm then march at 4pm along Massachusetts Ave. to the waiting Colonial militias at Tower Park for a large battle demonstration.

Mon, April 17, 2017, Battle on Lexington Green reenactment, Battle Green, Lexington center, 5:30am. Recreates the events in Lexington on the morning of April 19, 1775.

Mon, April 17, 2017, Commemoration of the Battle at North Bridge, Minute Man National Historical Park, 269 Monument St., Concord MA, 8:45am, followed by a Mourn Arms ceremony at the British graves at the North Bridge. The Concord parade from Concord Center arrives at the North Bridge at about 9:30am. Note, all roads in the center of Concord will be closed to vehicles beginning at 8:30am.

Sun, April 23, 2017, Revolutionary Graves Ceremony, Lincoln, MA, 2pm. March from the Pierce House, 17 Weston Rd., along Lexington Rd. to a ceremony at the Old Town Cemetery (Precinct Burial Ground, part of Lincoln Cemetery, 83 Lexington Rd.) and back.

Sat-Sun, May 20-21, 2017, Escape from Boston, Spencer-Pierce-Little Farm, 5 Little's Lane, Newbury, MA, 10am-5pm. British and American encampments with drills, tours and battles reenacting a hypothetical scenario in which the British army besieged in Boston in 1775 attempts to break through the American siege line.

Sat, Jun 10, 2017, Liberty Pole Day, Alden House, Duxbury, 105 Alden St, Duxbury, MA, 10am-4pm. Military encampment and fife & drum music and the story of American Revolutionary War soldier Deborah Sampson as performed by Judith Kalaora of History at Play, $8, $5 kids and students. Members of the First Foot Guards will portray a colonial militia unit.

Sun, June 11, 2017, Bunker Hill Parade, Bunkerhill St., Charlestown, MA, 12:30pm, but be there by 10am to find parking or take public transportation. The parade steps off at the lower end of Bunker Hill St. at Vine St. and returns via Main St. to Winthrop St.

Sat-Sun, June 24-25, 2017, Battle of Short Hills, Oak Ridge Park of Union County, 136 Oak Ridge Rd., Clark, NJ. Major 240th anniversary commemoration of the 1777 Battle of Short Hills on the original battlefield.

Sat-Sun, Sept 9-10, 2017, Brown's Raid on Fort Ticonderoga, 100 Fort Ti Rd., Ticonderoga, NY. Large-scale reenactment of the American raid on Fort Ticonderoga on Sept 18, 1777 at the reconstructed stone fortress on beautiful grounds overlooking Lake Champlain, 9:30am-5pm.

Sat-Sun, Oct 14-15, 2017, Burning of Kingston, Kingston, NY. Large public battles both afternoons, morning tacticals, and patrols to commemorate the 1777 British attack on Kingston and burning of over 300 buildings.

Sat Oct 21, 2017, Chase Farm, 677 Great Rd., Lincoln, RI. Revolutionary War reenactors portray camp life, drills, and battle scenarios on beautiful 88 rolling acres.

Sat, Nov 18, 2017, Plymouth Thanksgiving Parade, Plymouth, MA, 11am. The parade steps off at Benny's Plaza, 179 Court St. (Rte. 3A at Nelson St.) continues south on Court St. then left on Water St., ending at Cole's Hill on Water St.
